the right questions.

General safety context for semaglutide and tirzepatide. This is not a complete medication guide or instructions for a particular compounded preparation.

Before considering treatment

Tell your clinician about all health conditions and medicines. Semaglutide and tirzepatide carry warnings about thyroid tumors seen in animals; the relevance to humans is unknown. A personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2, or a serious allergy to the medication, must be discussed before treatment.

Tell the clinician about pregnancy or pregnancy plans, breastfeeding, pancreatic or gallbladder disease, kidney problems, eye complications of diabetes, severe digestive problems, and planned anesthesia. Discuss other diabetes medicines and low-blood-sugar risk. Tirzepatide may affect oral birth-control reliability; discuss contraceptive precautions with your clinician.

Side effects and when to seek help

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and stomach discomfort can occur. Severe or persistent abdominal pain, dehydration, reduced urination, vision changes, or symptoms of low blood sugar require prompt medical attention. Trouble breathing or swelling of the face or throat may be an emergency: call 911.

Compounded preparation, individual prescription

Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved or FDA-approved generics. Evidence and approval for other products do not establish the safety or effectiveness of these compounded combinations. Vitamin B6 is listed as an ingredient, not as a proven weight-loss or anti-nausea benefit.

Follow the instructions for your own prescription. Do not copy doses, measurements, or schedules from this website or another person's medication. Contact your care team with treatment questions through the secure patient portal.
